I also learned new destressing techniques to practice daily and on NCLEX day. Pace yourself with studying. You cannot learn all this info in a day. Don't forget to take care of yourself first. Studying is HARD and it is important to take breaks, exercise and eat healthy. Plan out your day/week and make sure to set aside some time for yourself. I dramatically changed my entire testing approach. I didn’t know how to correctly break down the question and pick out the information. I reviewed all the necessary content but not specifically enough to know which intervention was the most immediate. Before tutoring, I always chose the next best option because I wasn’t acknowledging the very root of the question. My methodology for breaking down the questions and thinking like an R. After failing the NCLEX once, I was lacking confidence that I would ever reach my dream of being a nurse. The first time I had studied for hours a day and was still unsuccessful. Mary Jane provided an organized system where I was able to objectively keep track of my progress. At times when I was unmotivated she kept in contact with me throughout our tutoring sessions to keep me focused and motivated.

After learning that I had not passed the NCLEX for the fourth time I was devastated beyond words. I had a 3.8 GPA in nursing school, yet I continued to struggle with the NCLEX. With each attempt I continued to get 265 questions, and although I knew that meant I was very close, something wasn’t clicking. I decided to seek out Mary Jane’s help after both my classmate and advisor recommended her. Although tutoring wasn’t something I was particularly excited about, I knew something needed to change.
Mary Jane’s plan for NCLEX success is truly amazing. Not only was I able to learn (and actually understand) the content, but each week we would sit down one-on-one and go over questions I had answered incorrectly. I dramatically changed my entire testing approach. I didn’t know how to correctly break down the question and pick out the information. I reviewed all the necessary content but not specifically enough to know which intervention was the most immediate. Before tutoring, I always chose the next best option because I wasn’t acknowledging the very root of the question. My methodology for breaking down the questions and thinking like an R. After failing the NCLEX once, I was lacking confidence that I would ever reach my dream of being a nurse. The first time I had studied for hours a day and was still unsuccessful. After learning that I had not passed the NCLEX for the fourth time I was devastated beyond words. I had a 3.8 GPA in nursing school, yet I continued to struggle with the NCLEX. With each attempt I continued to get 265 questions, and although I knew that meant I was very close, something wasn’t clicking. I decided to seek out Mary Jane’s help after both my classmate and advisor recommended her. Although tutoring wasn’t something I was particularly excited about, I knew something needed to change.
Mary Jane’s plan for NCLEX success is truly amazing.
